ACME APPLIANCE PROTECTION PLAN — WARRANTY POLICY Section 1. Coverage Term This limited warranty is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase. The extended protection plan, if purchased, adds an additional twenty-four (24) months of coverage for a total of thirty-six (36) months. Section 2. What Is Covered The standard warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Covered components include the compressor, control board, sealed refrigeration system, and factory-installed wiring. Labor for covered repairs performed by an authorized service organization is included at no charge. Section 3. Claims Process To file a claim, the customer must contact an authorized service organization and provide the original proof of purchase and the product serial number. Claims must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the malfunction being discovered. An authorized technician will diagnose the unit and, where possible, repair it on site. If a covered part must be ordered, repair is completed within ten (10) business days of the part arriving. Section 4. Exclusions and Voided Coverage 4.1 This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage that does not affect function, including scratches, dents, and discoloration. 4.2 Coverage is voided by unauthorized repairs, physical damage resulting from misuse or abuse, and removal or alteration of the serial number label. 4.3 Consumable parts such as filters, bulbs, and gaskets are not covered. 4.4 Damage caused by improper installation, power surges, or acts of nature is excluded from the standard plan. 4.5 Water damage is not covered under the standard warranty. It is covered only if the customer has purchased the extended protection plan. Section 5. Transferability The standard warranty is tied to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. The extended protection plan may be transferred one time to a subsequent owner for a fee of forty-nine dollars ($49). Section 6. Refunds and Cancellation The extended protection plan may be cancelled within sixty (60) days of purchase for a full refund. After sixty days, a prorated refund is issued based on the remaining coverage period, less a twenty-five dollar ($25) administrative fee. Section 7. Limitation of Liability Under no circumstances shall the company be liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of food, loss of use, or property damage, arising from the failure of a covered product.
